Oh boy did we have an amazing Christmas. The Treepee wasn’t loaded with presents. The cookies didn’t all get baked. The gifts didn’t all get purchased in time. There were lots of things that were missed. There was no snow. BUT, it was the most magical christmas I could have imagined. Ellie is such a gift. Watching her grow up has been enlightening and beautiful. I realized today that I’m a bit jealous of her. I feel so much pressure all the time to perform and achieve. She doesn’t. She just explores the world and finds new and fascinating things in every nook. I hope I never make her feel like she has to achieve anything in order to be loved.

Christmas with the Woolley's. Ellie loved the wrapping as much as the gifts. Her little growl of excitment when she'd get her hands on something was precious.

Pulling things out of the bag is always fun!

She got this little hedgehog during the game that Marketa had planned. She would growl and giggle with delight when she go her hands on it.

This picture was taken before Xion pooped rocks out of his bum all over the house. It was not exactly the magical moment I was hoping for but it sure was memorable!

I made this stocking for Ellie out of the pattern I found in Grandma Pat's sewing machine.
